Description

I have 6 months to reach my target weight of 75kg while developing my cardio system and muscle bulk.

Update: Got to 70 but then had a very long plateau. From 17 August the goal has been revised to 75kg by November 17.

Over one month only a change of +7 calories required per day. I guess that means I'm tracking pretty well, although I'd like to get that daily number down.

Failed to make 70kg by end of week =(

Hoping to have at least 4 x 4000 calorie days this week. Managed to achieve this today but also went running for 30 mins at lunch and swimming for an hour to negate gains.

I just noted that at this point I require fewer calories per day that I've recorded in the past. This means that right now I am making my best progress to date.

Actually my weight gain these last few days has been quite admirable, considering I've done 5+ hours of swimming this week plus an hour running at the gym.

-100 calories required per day, thats a good reduction. I'm hoping to maintain over 70kg by the end of this week.

Not a good change but recoverable, I'm going to need to be consistent on the 2 x protein shakes per day for awhile now.

I've spent 2 weeks on holiday and have fallen from 67kg at my previous measurement to 66.7kg - not too bad, but efforts will now need to be redoubled to catch up.

At least on holiday I did however use an ab machine and start doing pushups to failure on an irregular basis. There is now a change noticeable in the size of my upper arms and chest, I now also have one ab visible and a second ab is starting to hint it might start to become visible with a few training sessions.

I will be working on my diet this week; no more pizza's, hello broccoli

As per the previous post, I seem to be on track for my current goal. Frankly though I would like to be ahead of the curve as its none too difficult to consume 3000+ calories per day - ESPECIALLY if you throw weight gain shakes into the mix(er).

I'm also leary of how much of that extra mass is simply because during my original reading at 63kg my stomach was (probably) empty, but at the subsequent readings I had maybe 1-2kg extra from food in my system. If thats the case I'm probably actually a little behind - time for a shake.

The fitness regimen is working well so far. The weekend saw running on Saturday, swimming on sunday and Monday saw more running. My overall body shape appears to be improving but particularly so for my abs.

After my first dietry stumble over the weekend-ish period, Tuesday sees me back on track.

Day 5: So far there has been a 2.5kg weight increase, I would attribute this to the copious amount I am currently eating and drinking each day.

Given that there are 7700 calories to a kilogram of weight, I'd estimate the actual weight increase so far would be closer to 0.4 - 0.5kg if all is going well.

I've now had 3 consecutive days of training, cardio, rockclimbing, cardio. I'm beginning to notice some abdominal definition although any kind of abs are still far hidden below the layers of fat I've accumulated around the stomach.

I seem to be burning around 500 calories each cardio session, which is probably just about right as I'm already struggling a little to reach 3000+ calories each day. That should get easier however as my body begins to adjust to this new eating regimen and my iron levels pick up, increasing my appetite.

Rockclimbing yesterday was awesome, I felt terrific afterwards. Today I found maintaining a straight spine to be far easier, possibly something to do with the big workout my shoulders received (not something they are used to).
