Work my way up to backpacking by this Autumn

Description

I want to do an overnight backpacking trip with Arthur in late October or early November. So to get ready and practice my skills, I want to go on bi-monthly day hikes and work on my hiking fitness.

The other day I actually did the 3-mile hike with 20 pounds on my back! I just shoved an 8-pound dumbell in a backpack, threw my heavy purse and some bottled water on top, and went to town! It was a hard push and my shoulders got tired. But it felt good to do some hard work and I know it was good for my body. Hoping to do it again soon!
